Orlando Exterior Painting

Exterior paint is essential to protect a house from the elements. It’s important to keep a strong coat of paint on the exterior of the home to protect it from being exposed to the elements and prevent further wear and tear. Buildings and houses settle over time because the framing and foundation shift a little which often times leaves small cracks on the exterior walls of the house. If these cracks are not caulked or properly sealed the interior house may be vunerable to water intrusion.

Below are the general steps we will take on your exterior painting project. Your situation may vary depending upon your needs as outlined on your Proposal.

Wash and Surface Preparation. Prepararation prior to painting the outer surface of the home is as crucial as the painting itself. To adhere properly, paint needs to be applied to a clean surface. Applying paint to a dirty surface can cause the paint not to last as long and possibly flake or peel. Pressure washing is important to obtain a clean surface. Pressure cleaning, or power washing, uses pressurized water to remove chalk, dust, dirt, mildew and loose paint, leaving a cleaner surface for the paint to adhere. Damaged or rotten wood, fascia boards, or trim should be repaired or replaced prior to painting. A thorough examination should be completed to determine what areas need addressing prior to painting. It is also important to caulk any gaps between surfaces and those seals help lower electricity costs by increasing the insulation of the house.

As per your proposal, areas are either power washed or hand washed to remove dirt and mildew.

Based on your proposal, all loose paint is scraped and all glossy areas are scuff sanded. All gaps are caulked to prevent water intrusion.

Paint. Repaired areas are primed and premium quality paint is applied to a uniform finish by our professional painting contractors.

Clean. Clean up is done daily, as well as at the completion of our work. Paint chips are removed and all our materials are packed up and stored neatly.

Inspect Paint. After our own inspection, you are invited to inspect our work and asked to complete the quality control card.
