Orlando Exterior Painting
At CFC Painting we have found through experience that a systematic approach helps us to deliver the quality exterior painting job that we have promised you. Below are the general steps we will take on your exterior painting project. Your situation may vary depending upon your needs as outlined on your Proposal.
Wash and Surface Preparation. Prepararation prior to painting the outer surface of the building is as crucial as the painting itself. To adhere properly, paint needs to be applied to a clean surface. Applying paint to a dirty surface can cause the paint not to last as long and possibly flake or peel. Pressure washing is important to obtain a clean surface. Pressure cleaning, or power washing, uses pressurized water to remove chalk, dust, dirt, mildew and loose paint, leaving a cleaner surface for the paint to adhere. Damaged or rotten wood, fascia boards, or trim should be repaired or replaced prior to painting. A thorough examination should be completed to determine what areas need addressing prior to painting. It is also important to caulk any gaps between surfaces and those seals help lower electricity costs by increasing the insulation of the building.
As per your proposal, areas are either power washed or hand washed to remove dirt and mildew.
Based on your proposal, all loose paint is scraped and all glossy areas are scuff sanded. All gaps are caulked to prevent water intrusion.
Paint. Repaired areas are primed and premium quality paint is applied to a uniform finish by our professional painting contractors.
Clean. Clean up is done daily, as well as at the completion of our work. Paint chips are removed and all our materials are packed up and stored neatly.
